p80 glock build

P80 Glock Build - How many people have heard of the custom gun company Polymer80 (P80)? I actually only heard about Polymer80 last year when I came into the office and the guys were putting a P940SS slide on a Glock 43 Gen 3.

After learning more about their company, I've come up with a (list of considerations) for our readers before purchasing anything from the P80.

I recommend using this as your own personal buyer's guide to understand how they can improve your handguns.

First P80 Build

It is important to always check where you are purchasing your gun, especially when it comes to Glock parts. Glock, as everyone knows, is the most popular handgun brand in the world and has more parts and options than any other gun brand.

It's great to always have parts available to customize a gun in almost any way you want, but there are plenty of parts that aren't specifically made to Glock standards. This presents many problems, but for beginners, installing parts that are not designed for the gun can lead to serious injury or death. It probably just won't fire, but if everything but the slide or trigger assembly was correct, pulling the trigger could result in an explosion in your hand.

OEM Glock means that the parts listed have been certified by Glock to the exact specifications that Glock uses for each pistol. Polymer80 is an OEM Glock company that manufactures Glock parts with high precision and safety in mind.

Polymer80 earned its name by providing 80% pistol kits for making custom pistols compatible with Glock and Sig Sauer pistols. For example, if you want deeper front and rear cuts on your Glock 17 or 19, you can swap out the slide for a P80 PF940SC slide. Whether you want to replace the grip, slide, barrel or spring, the P80 has compatible parts for your Glock or Sig.

Over the past year or so, we've noticed a lot of attention in the gun community for the P80, and most people I know are excited about their new custom pistols. Following its growing success, P80 now sells fully built custom pistols with PF series pistols, pistol conversion kits, and AR-15 parts.

Polymer80 sets itself apart from the competition by focusing on creating custom pistols with a variety of features to suit almost any shooter. Much like when I first learned how to load ammo, building a gun from scratch is a lot easier than it sounds.

Building the gun with Polymer80 parts provides a completely different feel than most pistols with unique custom features such as the Stainless Steel Locking Block Rail System (LBRS) and Stainless Steel Recoil Rail System (RRMS).

I think it's best to start where Polymer80 started, which is with the P80 framesets. There are 4 different sizes of pistol frames that the P80 offers, including subcompact, compact, single stack, full size, and oversize frame.

For this I want to focus on compatibility with the Glock 19, 23, G17, 34, 17L, G22 (40S&W), 35, 24 and G31 (.357Sig).

Since we all see so many acronyms every day, it's impossible to know each one without looking it up. All P80 pistols are named based on the 5 different sizes available. There are many different color options depending on the size of gun you want, such as FDE, Cobalt, Gray, Black Nitride, Black and my favorite, Blue Titanium.

The PF940SC is a subcompact frame compatible Glock 26 Gen 3 subcompact pistol. Like many people I know who own a Glock 26, it's great to see compatible parts that can be swapped out for the Baby Glock to make it more comfortable and practical.

All P80 frames are built with an extended beavertail, double bottom guard, and thumb edge to reduce felt kick, prevent slippage, and provide more room in the trigger guard for larger fingers and gloved cold-weather shooters.

A Build For Beginners

If you want to build your own pistol instead of replacing a Glock 26 frame, it's easy to do with the small PF940SC slide block. The slide kit includes the barrel and spring system already assembled before it is shipped to you. You can't buy the PF940SC barrel separately, but if you're looking to replace your Glock 26 Gen 3 pistol with a new slide and barrel, this is it.

One of the reasons Glock is so popular is the limited number of moving parts in their pistols. Trying to replicate a Glock can be difficult, but the P80 does a great job of delivering the same ergonomics and performance as a Glock with a custom slide and trigger assembly.

You don't have to be a gunsmith to build your own gun anymore with some great companies like P80 making kits that are easy for people who don't have a lot of gun experience to understand. The best thing about this trigger assembly kit is the fact that it works with full size, compact (single stack) and subcompact 9mm models.

The SF940SC is designed for the Glock 26 and the P80 SF940C is designed for compatibility with Glock 19/23/43 parts. The PF series frames have the same features (extended beavertail, double undercut guard and thumb rest).

There are 2 types of compact pistol stands; SF940C and P80 PFC9. The PFC9 is a very popular model as it is supposed to be compatible with the Glock 19 and Glock 23 Gen 3 pistols. The SF940C is compatible with the Glock 43.

The PF940C slide block is custom made for the frame, magazine and barrel of the Glock 19/23 Gen 3 pistol. For example, if you really want more threaded barrels for an EQ or suppressor, you can use the P80 PF940C slider and still keep the original grip and trigger assembly.

It is compatible with both Glock 19 and 23 Gen 3 pistol magazines, frames and trigger blocks. It's no secret that if you own a Gen 3 Glock 19, you're missing out on the Marksman barrel, fingerless grip, and better metal finish.

Replacing the slide on an old Glock allows you to keep the grip if you like finger grooves, but it's a cheaper way to get a better Glock barrel with more features than buying a Gen 5 Glock. Although the barrel is stainless steel with a black nitride finish, it has polymer components inside that reduce the weight of the Gen 3 universal slide.

The front and rear marks are much more aggressive than a standard Glock slide, and it doesn't matter what generation it is. The P80 did a great job of creating a slide that can be retracted with little to no effort with either hand. Some really like the optics, but the P80's slide night images are crystal clear with a bright yellow dot in the center of the lens.

Finally, adding a flared magwell to the P940C can significantly affect reload speed and accuracy. A flared magwell isn't too expensive, you just have to make sure you get the right specs.

The PF940V2 frame is compatible with most Glock pistols except the P80 model. The ultimate full frame PF940V2 is compatible with 9mm, .40 S&W and .357 Sig pistols. If you had multiple caliber Glock pistols, like most people I know, this is a great way to customize multiple guns while spending a fraction of the money.

I would test the frame of my Glock 17 and Glock 22 to see how the frame handles 9mm and .40 S&W recoil and keep it at what I like best.

There are so many different ways to customize your Glock 17 and I know many people who love the Gen 3 barrel but prefer a newer slide with more aggressive serrations. The Brownells list below includes another frame with an aggressive grip finish and a full-size slide with excellent night sights.

With most trigger mount kits, you can choose whether you want to mount a flat trigger or a curved trigger in the frame. the flat side trigger is installed when supplied and for good reason.

Many shooters have used flatbed triggers in ARs and pistols before, but I think this P80 kit is an absolute steal at $51.99. You can adjust the draw weight from 5 to 14 pounds to choose what you like best.

The popular Polymer80 PFC9TM and PFS9TM full body pistols will now feature a lightweight slide that matches the RMR footprint. Even better, this upgrade is available for the same MSRP as the scopeless pistols previously offered at $549. "

There's no question that for most shooters, a red dot sight provides faster aiming, greater accuracy, greater velocity, and target focus with both eyes—all good things.
